Pumpkin Carving

I don't enjoy carving pumpkins. Its gooey, messy and it makes me break out in a rash. For the last couple of years we got away with just painting pumpkins because I'm not sure Carter even knew that pumpkins could be carved. Well, this year he discovered it. He has been asking for weeks now if we could carve pumpkins. So we finally did it. Nathan had meetings so we had to do it without him. Maybe I'm weak, but it's hard work to carve those pumpkins.

Katelyn pretending to enjoy it (she did for the most part) She just wasn't aware that the pumpkin guts would be so messy. (she doesn't like to get messy)

Carter just dug right in, he loved the guts!

Sorry Sam, no pumpkin for you. He got to observe, which he was fine with.

Once again Carter was not afraid to get right on there.

A Princess never gets her hands dirty. She carefully scooped the insides out with a spoon

The Finished product

I put candles in the pumpkins so the kids could watch them glow.
Carter was worried that it would catch his pumpkin on fire.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
